N.B.: considered a senior synonym of Otunus Chikuni, 1955: 29 [urn:lsid:nmbe.ch:spidergen:05390] (type O. delicatus Chikuni, 1955) by Yaginuma, 1970d: 651; Otunus was regarded a nomen nudum by Yaginuma, in Brignoli, 1983c: 285; Arcuphantes is not a senior synonym of Fusciphantes Oi, 1960 (Saaristo, Tu & Li, 2006: 387, contra Oi, 1964: 23, but see also Tanasevitch, 2010d: 269 and Nakano et al., 2017: 333); the new species described in Nakano et al., 2017 are assigned to the Arcuphantes longiscapus species group and therefore included here in the genus Fusciphantes.
